Introducing the SharePoint and Yammer Hands On Social Workshop

In the workshop we’ll be doing in Copenhagen at the European SharePoint Conference we won’t just talk about it and do demos.  All the attendees will have their own accounts in Yammer, Office 365 and SharePoint 2013.  We’ll be provisioning Office 365 sites, following documents, configuring lists for ratings and likes, and really getting our hands dirty. 

The most exciting part will be diving into groups and forming companies.  I expect the attendees will really get a kick out of the dialog that will happen when they are given real scenarios and challenges where they have to decide what to do.  Conversations will be rich between the groups around when to use what and how to actually configure the service.  I expect to see some pretty good debates.  Those that bring questions will be sure to get lots of feedback, hopefully a few answers and more questions to discuss with their teams.  Something you’re missing in other sessions is the time to get hands on and really do the configuration and see how it really works, and even then digging into the actual conversations around account management in Office 365 and seeing how it lights up.  Every attendee will have an account in Office 365, SharePoint 2013, and Yammer each with Admin rights so they can both see and experience all the bells and whistles.
