I wish I spoke Spanish. I had 1 ½ years of Spanish (Español) in High School, but it didn't account for much. I do seem to travel across Mexico and Guatemala just fine, but then again I don't let language be a barrier anywhere I go. Peru wasn't too bad, nor was what little I saw of Argentina. I guess I can get by.
Five years ago I got an email from Luis in Mexico asking me if I was interested in speaking in Costa Rica. Now I finally have the chance to take him up on it. The last 3 years the LATAM Seminar/Conferences have been in Mexico City. I've been able to catch 2 out of the last 3 of those and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I have the opportunity to go. Ricardo Muñoz has been working with SharePoint sponsors and such and it looks like through a bit of supplement through my blog and sponsors, which I'm going to be able to go. I'm definitely excited. I do encourage sponsors to make it to this conference. It's an excellent opportunity to reach the SharePoint LATAM market. You can tell from the speaker Line up that they are coming in from all over South America. In fact Ricardo is a Costa Rican that's been working in Chile.
They anticipate between 300-500 attendees. The first year they did this in Costa Rica that had over 250 attendees.
Where/Lugar: Universidad Latina, San Pedro, Costa Rica.
When/Hora: Miércoles 31 de Agosto, 2011. (They are planning multiple days for the conference including a preconference workshops)
