Teched 2010 New Orleans – Best Practice: Stick Together!

While everyone has been having a great time… when you mix alcohol to the levels where they call the drink hurricanes, car bombs, and hand grenades you’re bound to have issues.

While out on the town my good friend Tony Lanni was walking the streets and pounced on by a street thug.  Who smashed his ear and ran off. I haven’t heard the description, but I assume he looked like a pirate.

He was bleeding so bad and it wouldn’t stop, so he went to the doctor and got stitches.  Poor guy. :(  He said it wasn’t that late either, but was walking alone on a street in the French quarter.  He tells me he didn’t provoke the guy, he simply snuck up behind him.  I hear rumors he yelled AvePoint! Arg! when he ran off, but not sure about that part.

@tlanni @resing and @joeloleson Hearing the crazy story for the first time.  He’s smiling, but this is a true story, and you SHOULD be cautious.

@WonderLaura and I picked up some pirate swag to help you know what the guy looked like, so you can watch out for him!  Stay together.  Don’t walk alone.  That’s the moral of this story, and be careful!
