SharePoint Gulf Coast Roadtrip – New Orleans, BHAM, Memphis, & Ozarks

New Orleans

After Mexico I’m flying directly to New Orleans.  I arrive on Saturday, so if anyone is looking to do something over the weekend.  I’m in.  This is my second trip, but my first one after Katrina.  I remember an MGB (Microsoft Global Briefing) from back in 2001 or so, where I spoke for the first time ever in front of a SharePoint Audience.  I shared a session with Kimmo Forss who was a Lotus Notes developer out of Finland who now a Microsoft employee working in BPOS after years of MCS SharePoint Rangers in Europe and is one of the most respected SharePoint Architects on the planet.  So New Orleans has a special place in my memories.

I’m interested in seeing how the area has changed and not changed.

I’ve got 2 sessions at Teched.  I’ve got one in the SQL track and one in the SharePoint Track.  Woohoo!  This is my 25th Teched and 8th Teched North America speaking gig.  As you can tell I’m kind of a Teched junkie.  I really love these.  Next to the SharePoint Conference we just had, I have high hopes.  This being the first conference after the SharePoint 2010 Launch I expect to feel a strong SharePoint vibe at the conference.
