I’m going to be in the DC area with family this next week and would love to get together for some lights, holiday music, and hot cocoa or eggnog.  Feeling it out on twitter and it appears there are others that are interested as well.

Here are the details…

Festival of Lights at the DC Temple

Cost: Free!

What: Lights, Nativity, and Music

  • More than 450,000 sparkling Christmas lights
  • Local musical group performs a live concert
  • Live outdoor nativity scene
  • Indoor exhibit of international nativity scenes

When: Dec 21, 6-8pm Monday Family Night: Take your time soaking in the lights and meet in the Visitors center lobby at 7pm.  I will be bringing my family, and if you’d like feel free to bring your significant other and if applicable the young ones.  I’ll bring Dean and the rest of the crew.

Location and Directions: 9900 Stoneybrook Dr., Kensington, Maryland. From I-495, Exit Connecticut Ave. North. Turn Right on Beach Dr. Turn Left on Stoneybrook Dr. The temple is on the left. (301) 587-0144.  (Joel: Yes, it is that massive white castle looking building off the beltway (pictured about).  Now’s your chance to see it lit up and I’m happy to be your guide.)  Tweet if you get lost.
