Where's Waldo I mean Joel? This week is Virginia & DC

I've been on the road so much lately, I don't even know where I am these days.  Good thing I've been lucky enough to have Michelle helping me or I'm sure I'd end up... in a bad situation.

The SharePoint Seminar in Mexico city was great.  If you wondered why SharePoint hadn't caught on in Latin America you'd have to think again.  SharePoint is wildly popular in South America.  Talking to Microsoft people and MVPs SharePoint is huge.  This seminar we just had in Mexico city had more than 250 paid registrants and about that many attendees in a full day seminar.  Luis a godfather to SharePoint in South America has really brought the community together with first the Costa Rica seminar (with over 400 registrants) for LATAM and then this second one in Mexico city.  Talking to Vlad, Daniel, and Hector (pictured below) you'd think SharePoint was more popular in South America than it was in the U.S. in terms of penetration in enterprises with full enterprise licenses.  User Group communities in Chili, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela and more... I look forward to meeting with those groups and helping Luis du Soldier G. with more events in the future.  Very passionate community.

Speaking of situations.  Heard about this swine flu stuff?

Wow!  I haven't stopped checking the news, blogs, and twitter trying to get a handle on what's going on.  I don't want to attempt to give you anything here you couldn't get elsewhere, but I do want to let you know... I'm safe, healthy, and have been back in the U.S. since Saturday afternoon.  The SharePoint group in Mexico for the seminar we had was an awesome passionate group.  It was that night that we found out about something going on.
